Pangs of Anticipation

So, most Trekkies (even me; the person who didn't like Star Trek (2009) at first) are dying to see the newest Star Trek movie, Star Trek: Into Darkness. I have a feeling that it will be the start of a series of movies, similar to the recent Batman saga. However, one of my hopes for this is not just a reboot of the wonderful Star Trek universe, but also a reboot of the Star Trek fan base. Most Trekkies are like my parents - getting into their 40s and 50s - and fans my age are getting fewer. However, with this new take on Star Trek, maybe it will kick-start the fan base again. I eagerly await the movie, as well as what it may bring.
