Limited Resources

Time, like water, is limited. Use it wisely.

The Path Less Traveled

The path less traveled usually has a greater reward at the end than the easy path most go down.

What have you got to lose?

Dedication or Desperation?

German soldiers pulling the crew out of a T-34 that rammed an StuG III to intern them as POWs. Judging by the type of StuG III (with a short barreled 75mm) this is probably fairly early in the war, maybe summer 1941 or 1942.

Luger Toggle Lock

A friend of mine showed me this. It is an excellent video (well, technically a .gif image) of the workings of a Luger pistol's toggle lock. When the pistol is fired, you can see the barrel and barrel extension sliding backwards, breaking the locked toggle open and allowing it to cycle. You can see an example of how this works fairly easily: with your leg. If you lock your knee, it is basically the same as a toggle lock. Until you put pressure pushing your knee up, there isn't much that can push hard enough to bend your leg.

Cat-Like Reflexes? Panther-Like Balance

Everyone has to have a little fun now and again. It appears that this Panther has been traveling. The muzzle has a cover on it and the barrel is in the travel stand to relieve stress on the elevation motors inside the turret.

Targa and Tall Socks

I'm not sure why, but I really like this picture. Maybe it's because of the car, maybe it's because of the '70s vintage girl.
