Drug Busting with a Madsen

A Brazilian police officer with a Madsen LMG in Rio. They were converted to 7.62 NATO by Imbel and they are used on drug busts when the police need heavier firepower. These guns are almost 100 years old. Photo courtesy of Forgotten Weapons.com.

Dangerous Fuzz

A Soviet tanker reaching off of his T-34 to pet a curious polar bear. It's pictures like these that seem to take the horribleness out of war.

An interesting video shot in Paris in the 1980s, plus some very good music from Snow Patrol.

Self-inflicted Limits

Imagine if we devoted what we spent on war and weapons on space exploration. Imagine where we would be today.

We look at ourselves now and call ourselves advanced. We say well, we're a lot further than we were fifty years ago. I say look at how far behind we are. We're taking baby steps.

I say we start leaping.

Belgian Combinations

This is a beautiful antique Belgian percussion cape gun. It's a combination gun, with a .41 caliber rifled barrel and a 12 gauge shotgun barrel. I'm not sure when it was made, but it's in amazing condition. The wood is beautiful and the barrels are turning a nice patina, with the locks just starting to patina. I wish I could afford it! (it's 1,300 USD)
